Ok where to begin, without this turning into a book. I was pretty much born on horseback, My mother went into labor out on a ride. Horses are my love & passion.
I love everything about them. Have trained many through the years that have went on to do great things.
I trained my first at 11 years old. A gorgeous 14.1h 3 year old Black Egyptian/Polish cross stallion.
This boy did get gelded at 4 years old, a kid couldn’t endurance ride a stallion at that time. We placed very well in all ride’s & class we entered.
2 years later, I got too tall for him and had to sell him.
Found a lady for him. They went on to win everything she entered him in and kept him for 14 years until he was retired.
I have been training every since. A wonderful lady who passed away in 2003 is the one who got me into riding everything. She would buy horses that weren’t half what they were sold as and I had to fix them to resale. Then other people wanted it done.
Mostly as a kid I got brought the horses no one could handle, the crazy ones, ones too stupid to be ridden safely. Ya Right. Have to say I was & still to this day never brought a horse with horse problems. They were all man made problems, that could be fixed.
I have had all breeds, but my love & passion is Paints. Nothing better than all that chrome. For me the more white they have the better I like them.
I prefer to train my own, that way I don’t have to fix someone else’s problems.
My daughter has started training. She broke her first at 11 also, Hercules a nice Blue Roan Sabino son of Air Rascal’s. She did a great job. The people just love that horse and ride him every where. So far she has trained 4 and will be 13 in Aug,. Guess you can tell what she wants to be. Maybe lol she is a teenager now and has found boys & all the running around city kids do fun. lol Whee gotta love the teenage years.
My husband has ridden horses all his life. Used to ride broncs & he sure can put a handle on one. Heath isn’t into all the training like I am, but he loves to work with the babies.
We train horses to do it all. We do not have just stand there look pretty horses. We have using horses. I buy a few train them, then move on to the next. We have a couple babies a year to sale to show & using homes. We are not traders. Why is that you say. I don’t have to Lie, Drug or be cruel to move a horse. I want that horse in a good home, so honesty is best for the horse.
Train a horse right and you have something amazing. All are foals know more than most adult horses. People love getting babies from us, just read my guest book. A good trainer takes the best they can learn from everyone and make their own program. That is what I’ve done and still trying to learn all I can.
That’s pretty much all about us. We pride ourselves on the things our horses can do and not be crazy or spooked doing it. Plus we are never to old to learn more and more about horses to help them have better, useful lives.
Now the best thing I can tell people. Learn to read your horses, treat them right, they are not machines. If the only time you see your horse is to feed it, worm & shot’s or to ride, well no wonder your horse is hard to catch.
Please do remember. Horses are not stupid. Horses are one of the greatest things on this Earth. Do try and treat them right.
I offer horse training for $ 400.00 a month. Our horses for the first couple weeks are taught to lunge, ride , flex, get despooked , give to pressure and all commands in just a rope halter, after they are soft and riding correctly, then they are moved up to the snaffle.
